HandPanPro App Privacy

HandPanPro App Privacy Policy

How the HandPanPro 1.0 app handles your music, microphone access, exports and support contact.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

Who this policy is for

This policy describes the local HandPanPro 1.0 app for iPhone and iPad and explains what you choose to send when contacting support. For privacy questions, contact support@handpanpro.nl.

No account is required to use the app. This app policy does not describe the cookies or server logs involved in browsing this website.

Your music stays under your control

Recording and note analysis run on your device. The app stores recordings and imported audio, suggested notes and your corrections, handpan profiles and calibration, practice progress, preferences and records used for recovery. These support recording, reviewing, playback and practice.

Saved Library items remain in local app storage until you remove them or delete the app. The storage and removal section below explains recovery information, exported copies and backups.

This release does not upload recordings to a HandPanPro transcription service or activate cloud synchronisation or private feedback sharing. It does not include advertising tracking or an active developer analytics upload service. The app can write technical diagnostic events to Apple’s device logging system.

Microphone permission

The app requests microphone access when you record, calibrate an instrument or use live practice feedback. Listening to saved audio does not require this permission.

You can withdraw microphone access in your device Settings. Recording, calibration and live feedback will then be unavailable until you allow access again.

When you choose to share

Sharing is a separate action you control. M4A exports contain audio; MIDI and MusicXML exports contain the saved notes and musical timing for the chosen recording. A HandPanPro archive can include audio, notes and instrument information.

The system share sheet lets you choose another app, service or storage destination. That destination handles the shared copy according to its own policy. Removing a recording from HandPanPro does not withdraw copies you already exported.

Storage, backups & removal

You can remove recordings from your Library and manage instrument profiles in the app. Instrument profiles that are still used by a recording or groove cannot be removed until those references are removed. Some recovery records or data needed by another copy can remain. The app attempts to clear older temporary audio and notation export files when you prepare another export. These files are separate from your saved Library.

To remove HandPanPro and its locally stored app data, choose Delete App in your device’s storage settings. Offload App keeps documents and data. Exported files and backup copies must be managed separately.

Your device or computer backups may contain app data, depending on your Apple and backup settings. HandPanPro’s local operation does not disable those backups. Manage backup copies through the service or device that created them.

When you contact support

Email support is a separate exchange that you initiate. If you email support@handpanpro.nl, that mailbox receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. These help us answer your request and investigate the issue. Share only what is needed; the app does not automatically send your recordings with a support request.

Your privacy questions & choices

Contact support@handpanpro.nl about information you have provided to us, including requests for access, correction or deletion. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy or withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

For locally stored music, use the app’s Library and your device or backup settings. We cannot retrieve recordings from your device simply because you contact support. You can also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We will update this app policy when the app’s information handling changes. The date at the top identifies the policy version. Visit Support for help using HandPanPro or return to HandPanPro.
